Both releases dominated the Billboard Hot 100 with a glut of tracks whose streaming consumption turned even their deepest cuts into singles chart material. At 22 tracks long, this year's More Life stands to do big numbers too. So 2016's Views was essentially guaranteed its quadruple-platinum success with its ample 20 song track listing. Billboard adopted this methodology in 2014, while the RIAA did so in 2016. The latter artist's last two solo endeavors benefitted tremendously from the value that Billboard and the RIAA place on streaming. For both Billboard and the RIAA, 1,500 on-demand song streams in the United States hold the same value as 1 full album sale. One need only look at Brown's not-infrequent rival Drake to see the chart and sales potential for Heartbreak On A Full Moon.
